On Sunday December 13, we’re going to have a bit of fun during and after our Services. That Sunday is the one that the pink candle on the Advent Wreath signifies among all the other blue candles. Known in the Roman church as Gaudete Sunday (Gladness Sunday), It’s supposed to be a day of particular joy and, yes, levity.
So as you unpack your decorations this week, be on the lookout for a truly ugly Christmas sweater to wear to our Ugly Christmas Sweater competition, right after services during Coffee Hour. You’ll get to vote for the most stunningly breathtaking sweater of them all, with an appropriate prize for the winners and runners-up.
