Bread from Many Cultures for Communion
Celebrate World Communion Day with us on October 4

October 4 is World Communion Sunday. Across the globe and across denominations, Christians will share the bread of heaven and the cup of salvation in ways that are unique to their culture and traditions. At First Church, we will also celebrate the day with communion that takes the form of breads from many cultures.
Can you bring a type of bread to church on the 4th? Please call Mary Ann Holley and let her know if you can. It doesn’t have to be home-baked.
And as a special treat on World Communion Sunday, our own Sanjay Patel, who has been a musician for much of his life, will provide music for our communion service. We are grateful to Sanjay for this. It’s a special opportunity when we can showcase the unique and sometimes hidden talents of our own membership.
