Music Ministry: Music for Veterans' Sunday Service
And thanks to the men's choir for Independence Day hymns

I want to thank the men of our church choir for their three anthems, hymn support and post service celebration of Independence Day. They are wonderful individuals with which to work. I also want to thank Tim Koch for his solo during communion.
This week’s music for our Veterans’ kick-off Sunday service will support both Bible readings and sermon. I am very excited to welcome back Mary Larew as violin soloist. Mary, who is beginning her second year as Director of the Danbury Music Centre, was here just a little over a year ago, and very well received. She will be singing a special anthem for the Veterans, and playing several pieces on the violin with piano accompaniment.
Scheduled for Sunday, July 19th, is Sean Gerety our in-house trumpeter. We will be collectively working together on a couple of jazzy interpretations of well-known sacred tunes. Please mark your calendars as there is no E-Tidings posting until the 23rd of July.
