Service to Hillside Food Outreach
Volunteers pack bags of food for delivery to the homebound.
(Feb. 15, 2015) Hillside Food Outreach is the only area food pantry that delivers to people in need. On one Friday night each month, volunteers from the First Congregational Church gather at Hillside's warehouse located at The Matrix on Ridgebury Road in Danbury. We pack the bags of food that are later delivered to the homebound.
Helpers are needed for the next packing day on Friday, February 20. The packing takes 1 to 1.5 hours depending on how many participate. This activity also offers community service time for those students looking for that type of opportunity. Please sign up on the clipboard in Annie Hall, or call the church office (203-744-6177).
