Our music: Favored hymns

To date, I have received two requests for the preservice hymn sing. I try to select familiar hymns but because I have been singing hymns since age 7, the hymns that I know may not always be the best choice. So let me know if you have a favorite hymn you would like to sing, even if it is an Advent or Lenten hymn -- nothing like Christmas in July.

 

I want to thank Heidi Palmer-Kayak and Craig Turner for their version of the Phil Och’s song “Where but for fortune.” I thought it was perfect for the sermon message. Craig has been practicing daily to keep his fingers limber.  I think we all enjoyed his fine guitar picking and look forward to hearing him again, soon.

 

I welcome back Howard Rovics and Cheryl Hill this coming Sunday to lead us in song as I am on vacation this week.
