Pack Donated Food for People in Need
(Updated on June 26, 2015) The Hillside Food Outreach program needs some help, Friday, July 24, at 7p.m. It is fun work with a great sense of accomplishment.
Hillside Food Outreach is the only area food pantry that delivers to people in need. On one Friday night each month, volunteers gather at their warehouse located at The Matrix on Ridgebury Road in Danbury to pack the bags of food delivered to the homebound.
The packing takes 1 to 1 1/2 hours, depending on how many participate. This also offers community service time for students looking for that type of opportunity.
