Nicole Santos, daughter of Heidi and Tom, has been struck with a tragedy of her own this holiday season. Her significant other has been diagnosed with a metastasized, terminal form of cancer, and given no more than two years to live. He also has a very young son. His illness makes it impossible to work, so he and Nicole are in dire straits to pay bills and keep food on the table.
